Grammys 2014: Paul McCartney Song ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ With Former Nirvana Members Dave Grohl & Krist Novoselic To Receive Bes Rock Song Award

Grammys 2014 Update:

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr performance is added at the 2014 Grammy Awards lineup for the show's celebration of Beatlemania.

The 71-year old English musician is expected to receive  a handful of awards from the show, including Best Rock Song for "Cut me Some Slack," a collaboration with Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl and Grohl's former Nirvana band mate Krist Novoselic, which debuted at the Hurricane Sandy's "12-12-12 Benefit."

Both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are about to receive the Recording Academy's lifetime achievement award a day prior the telecast.

The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles, will be Beatles' first ever appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.

The performance of the two remaining Beatles' members is certainly going to be a blast. Country stars Keith Urban, Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves will also be appearing in the show together with Best R&B Album nominee John Legend and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Also added to the lineup will be 2014's MusiCares Person of the Year Carole King, who will be performing with Sara Bareilles, for a special performance.

Metallica will return to the stage after more than two decades with an unusual pairing with Chinese pianist Lang Lang.

Other Grammy performers include Daft Punk with Nile Rodgers Pharrell Williams and Stevie Wonder; Kendrick Lamar with Imagine Dragons; Lorde; Katy Perry; Pink and Fun's Nate Ruess; Robin Thicke and Chicago; and Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and Blake Shelton.

The Grammys 2014 Awards will be aired on CBS at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 9 (3pm on Monday, February 10, AEST), exactly 50 years to the very moment of the Beatles' historic performance (carried on CBS as well).
