Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande might have had a romantic involvement but last December, news about the couple's falling apart circulated. While the two have not yet aired statements about the status of their relationship, the 'The Wanted' crooner recently showed an old-fashioned side of him. In an interview with We Love Pop magazine, the 20-year-old singer reveals his penchant for working hard to win a girl's affection: "I don't know, I really like the chase. I like to work hard to impress a girl. But at the same time I'd be too nervous to be like, 'Yeah, she likes me, so I'm going to act really cool'".

The British singer likewise adds that he loves it when a girl only drops hints about her feelings: "Maybe a tiny bit of a hint. Before I've had a small hint and thought 'Yeah? Okay' then straight after I'm like, 'Oh God, this is terrible. I'm gonna embarrass myself!'"

Ariana Grande's recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine can also attest with Sykes' fascination for classic dating concepts. Apart from gracing the magazine's cover, the 'Put Your Hearts Up' songstress recalled how Sykes orchestrated their first date.

"We were going back to his hotel to watch a movie, and he had Ladurée macarons and sunflowers waiting - I love Parisian baked goods, and sunflowers are my favorite flower. He had taken the DVD player out of the bedroom and into the living room, because he said he didn't want to take me into the bedroom on the first date," said Grande.

Aside from Nathan Sykes and Ariana Grande's break-up news, fans are similarly disheartened with 'The Wanted's' separation announcement. According to the band's website statement, members Tom Parker, Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, and Sykes himself "have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion."
