‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’ Shoots In Korea And Features Korean Actress As A Villain? Director Follows 'The Godfather 2' As A Guide For Shooting Sequels

'Avengers Age Of Ultron' will follow the vision of going global. It is rumored to shoot in Korea in April and even feature a Korean Actress as a villain. Also, Joss Whedon explains how he uses "The Godfather 2" as a model for making sequels.

The site KDramaStars reported: "Initially, actor Mark Ruffalo sent out a tweet denying this rumor, saying that there was no plan to shoot in Korea but he then added that, "the Marvel universe is big."

The next day, the film's representatives confirmed that the Korean filming rumor was true. At least 10 to 15 minutes of the film will take place in Gangnam and Gyeonggi-do. One of Korea's top production teams has already been chosen to work with the Hollywood film production crew."

However, there was one rumor that they have not 'confirmed' yet. Part of the circulating buzz was a villain, possibly a minor one, to be played by a Korean actress: "Kim So Yeon, Han Se Yeul or Kim Min Jung, but the film's representatives would not confirm the choice of any actress."

Meanwhile,  Joss Whedon talked to Allocine about the complexity of shooting a movie in the context of following the plotline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe while making his own independent vision of the film. For him, the greatest sequel of all time, "The Godfather 2" serves as the model:

"The events of Captain America [The Winter Soldier] will definitely affect the world of Avengers 2. But at the end of the day, I have to make my movie assuming that people will only have seen the first one, or possibly not even seen the first one. I can't assume that everybody went to see Thor [The Dark World], Captain America, and Iron Man 3 in-between. I have to go from one movie to the next and be true to what's happened [in the previous movies], but not be slavish to it. [...] The model I'm always trying to build from, or my guiding star, is The Godfather: Part II where a ton has happened in-between and it's a very different movie [from Part I], but you don't need any information. It's there in the film about what's happened since, what's different, and why is this a different film; why is it a different kind of structure, and why is it darker. It's all there, you're in the vernacular of the first movie and you're just ready to pick up in this new place, and hopefully that's what will happen with my movie. Obviously I'm talking about one of the greatest films ever made (The Godfather: Part II)... I hope mine will be good, but that is my guiding star."

"Avengers: Age Of Ultron" will be released on May 1, 2015.
