B.A.P's Bang Yongguk Nominated for a 'Shorty Award'

On January 26th, TS Entertainment announced that B.A.P's leader Bang Yongguk was nominated for a Shorty Award in the Charity category. Bang Yongguk is one of the most active Twitter users of B.A.P, who celebrated their second anniversary as a group on January 26th. Bang Yong Guk has approximately 506,400 followers on Twitter and utilizes his account not only to spread information regarding B.A.P, but regularly references global charity initiatives such as Greenpeace.

The 6th Annual Shorty Awards are intended to recognize individuals, as well as organizations, who make the best use of short form communication tools such as Twitter. In recent years, K-Pop idols have expanded their use of SNS to include mediums such as Twitter which assist the artists and entertainment agencies in quickly decimating information to their audiences. The social media tools have also aided in the spread of K-Pop to countries outside of Asia.

TS Entertainment is encouraging fans of B.A.P to participate in the voting process which will conclude on February 18th. The award ceremony for he 6thAnnual Shorty Awards will be held on April 7th in New York City. Voters are encouraged to nominate the artist through the Shorty Awards website, with TS Entertainment reminding fans to completely fill out the form when voting.
