What Do Idol Stars Have Planned For The Lunar New Year?

Idol singers had a busy 2013, and it's already time for 2014's lunar new year. Even still, the idols are busy with their overseas activities and comeback preparations. They're going to be busy during this holiday season. Other idols are more fortunate and have the opportunity to spend time with their families and have a mini-vacation during this holiday. Let's take a look at the singers' lunar new year plans.

Overseas Activities During the Holidays

There are many singers who are going to be busy with overseas performances this lunar new year. BEAST, who released their new song "Sad Movie" in Japan last December, is looking forward to their Japan concert. BEAST is busy with concert preparations, drama appearances, and their individual activities. They're planning to leave for Japan for their upcoming concert.

2PM will release their 3rd full-length album Genesis of 2PM on the 29th. Their arena tour started in Nagoya on the 27th. During this holiday season 2PM will be busy with concerts, rehearsals, and Japanese activities.

Girl group Secret will release their song "I Do I Do" in Japan next month. Just like the others, they're expected to be busy this holiday with rehearsals, promotion activities, and performances in Japan. Their new song is the first in 1 year 8 months in Japan, so they're working hard for a successful comeback.

B.A.P will be attending to the 'Dream K-Pop Fantasy Dream Concert' which is scheduled to take place on February 2nd in Manila, Philippines. On top of that they will be releasing their first full-length album First Sensibility on the 3rd, so they're busy preparing for their comeback as well.

CNBLUE spent their Christmas with Japanese fans this past December. They will be continuing their overseas activities during the lunar new year with concerts in Peru and Chile. CNBLUE completed their New York and Los Angeles concert on the 21st, Mexico world tour concert on the 27th, and will be heading over to continue their performances in South America.

Practice, Practice, and More Practice! Busy Bees Preparing for Comebacks

Gain will be releasing a solo album titled Truth or Dare on the 6th next month, and she will be busy this holiday season preparing for her comeback. Last year she filled her time with Brown Eyed Girls activities and filming for the movie The Huntresses. The movie will debut on the 29th. Following that she'll be coming back with a solo album. She'll be practicing hard for sure this holiday season to prepare a great solo comeback for her eagerly awaiting fans.

4MINUTE had hits such as "What's Your Name" and "Is It Poppin?" and even Trouble Maker's "Now." They're in the middle of preparing for their upcoming Hong Kong fan meeting.

BTOB will also be preparing for their comeback during the lunar new year.

Drama Acting, Movies, and Individual Activities Everywhere!

Rain held his comeback after a 4 year hiatus, and will be spending the holiday in Los Angeles this year. As soon as he completed his 6th album Rain Effect activities, he left straight for LA on the 26th. He will be filming for Hollywood film The Prince. Rain will be greeting his overseas fans in a Hollywood movie, a first in 5 years since his appearance in Ninja Assassin.

Girls Generation Yoona will be busy filming for KBS 2TV's "Prime Minister and I," which will be ending soon. Since she'll be busy with shooting, it looks like it might hard for this star to take a break and spend time with her family.

TVXQ's Changmin will be filming for cable channel Mnet's drama "Mimi." Changmin has landed the lead role in "Mimi," a love story between a couple whose time and space are turned upside down by fate. Since it's been a while since he's greeted his fans through acting, there's no doubt that Changmin will be very busy this holiday.

Band FTIsland's Lee Hongki won't be able to take a break this holiday, either. He'll be filming for TV Chosun's "100 Years Bride." Choi Minhwan will be acting in the musical "Joseph Amazing." Song Seung Hyun is scheduled for the musical "Three Musketeers." FTIsland members are also busy preparing for their Asia tour.

Rest, Rest, Sweet Rest!

While many stars will be busy rehearsing, performing, acting, and more, there are a handful that will get to taste sweet, sweet rest during the lunar new year. Girl's Day has been very busy with "Female President," "Tell Me," and lately with "Something." As much as they had to go, go, go without rest, they will be able to spend a restful holiday with their family and loved ones.

SISTAR is also planning a relaxing holiday. They were busy with their 2nd album Give It to Me, Hyolyn's solo albums, and drama appearances, but for this holiday, they will forget about their busy schedules and just rest.

Girls' Generation, Super Junior, EXO, ZE:A, and miss A will be with family this lunar new year as well. They definitely deserve the break, especially with how busy they've been lately. We wish them a restful, peaceful, and lovely holiday with their closest loved ones.
