Katherine Heigl’s New TV Show Marks Former ‘Greys Anatomy’ Star’s Big Comeback! ‘State Of Affairs’ To Recreate 'The Blacklist' Success?

Katherine Heigl's new TV show, "State of Affairs," marked the star's big comeback after a long respite following the conclusion of "Grey's Anatomy" in 2010, and she couldn't be more excited.

In a statement submitted to different press outfits, Katherine Heigl said: "The story is not only compelling and intelligent but a look behind the curtain at the CIA we haven't seen before in film or television.

"I am thrilled and honored to have been asked to be a part of developing these stories and this character and bringing it all to life. NBC has been a true partner in their passion and support for the show that we've dreamed of making and I could not be happier about joining forces with them."

Katherine Jeigl hasn't had a TV show, except for a few cameos here and there, after "Grey Anatomy" and Hollywood Reporter offered a reason why.

According to the tabloid mag, Katherine Heigl has been having difficulty landing work because of her "diva" attitude.

In an article published September 12, 2013, a source told Hollywood Reporter that Katherine Heigl was not worth the $12 million she commands per project as she can be very difficult to work with.

"She can cost you time every single day of shooting. Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day," the source told the tabloid.

The new TV show is planned for 2014 fall premier and has been categorized as a "put-pilot" which is just insider term for NBC  paying the corresponding penalty if it fails to air the show.

With "State of Affairs," NBC hopes to recreate the success of "The Blacklist," the top-rate crime drama in the US today and also the number 1 in DVR playback this season. The network also planned to roll out several pilots this year, including another live musical "Peter Pan" in Christmas.
