Justin Bieber's rumored new girl Chantel Jeffries defended herself from public criticisms as she claimed that she's a "full-time student who had enjoyed a normal lifestyle" but a witness to the assault confirms the model's involvement.

Chantel Jeffries describes herself in her Twitter account as "student, model, eyebrow connoisseur, animal lover, and deep thinker."

The 21-year-old, who is signed with Wilhelmina modelling agency, was thrust into the spotlight when she posted in her social media site being behind the wheel of a rented Lamborghini in Miami on the night Justin Bieber was arrested for DUI and driving past the speed limit.

Various reports then said that it's not her first brush with the law as Chantel Jeffries was arrested for misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon but the case was dismissed in March 2011 when the victim did not press charges, according toMailOnline.  

Then she was also arrested for stabbing her friend on the arm. The charges were later dropped when she agreed to pay the court costs.

But in a report by TMZ, she said: "I have not been arrested five times as has been stated in the media, nor am I guilty of physically assaulting anyone, in any way shape or form."

"What has happened to me is wrong," said Justin Bieber's girl Chantel Jeffries.

Her counsel, Matt Morgan, also told TMZ that she had no other charges when the misdemeanor assault was dropped, "she's only ever had traffic violations."

Chantel Jeffries' former friends in high school, however, told MailOnline that she led a group called the B--ch Squad.

Alyssa Daras, who was part of the group, called the model "a groupie."

"Towards the end of high school, she always wanted to date someone famous," she said. "When we were in middle school together she was very smart, but she became obsessed with fame. This thing with Justin has finally given her what she wanted."

According to MailOnline, Alyssa Daras was the original target of the attack but wasn't around so Chantel Jeffries instead stabbed Monica Crout-another member of the squad-with possibly a box cutter.
