Ride Along, the action comedy film that stars Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, continue to dominate the box office. The Super Bowl weekend has just ended but the Universal Pictures' latest flick continue to roll for three straight weeks.

According to Fox News:

Topping multiplex sales since setting a January debut record when opening over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend with $48.6 million, the buddy cop comedy, starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, made $12.3 million, as it nears a $100 million domestic total, according to studio estimates Sunday.

Ride Along is a surprising film to see at the top, given that their competitions are top-billed by mega popular stars. Among those that the Hart-Ice Cube film edged are Disney's Frozen, That Awkward Moment by Zac Efron, and Labor Day, starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin, The Nut Job and Lone Survivor.

"I don't think anyone would have seen that coming," Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for box-office tracker Rentrak, said of "Ride Along."

"Kevin Hart and Ice Cube are great stars and they are international stars at this point. The movie doing so well here is going to give it that extra push. If the worldwide audience is hearing that 'Ride Along' is the No. 1 movie for the third week, they are going to want to see what the fuss is about."

Dergarabedian also commended Frozen for being a survivor despite the arrival of new films.

"'Frozen' is a movie that will not quit," he said. "It's been out for 11 weeks and it's still relevant. By adding this sing-along component, they basically assured themselves a No. 2 spot this weekend."

Despite receiving negative reviews, Efron's That Awkward Moment is project to shine in the coming weeks. The romantic comedy film produced by Focus Features was the biggest performer of the week earning $9 million. The movie tells the story of dating adventures of three male friends in New York who promised to stand by each other after one of them got broken hearted.
