Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie might have officially parted ways but their family would remain intact. After three years of marriage, the couple called it quits allegedly because the spark wasn't there anymore.

One source told People magazine that Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie tried their best to enliven their marriage: "There was no major incident - no big event between the two of them. They really did drift apart. They have put effort and thought into this decision for along time. They tried couples therapy, but in the end, they realized at this time, they work better as friends. And they really are great friends."

In Touch likewise reports that the 'Cadet Kelly' actress once consulted a psychic to guide her decisions. Despite the split, Hilary Duff's baby Luca will remain a happy child for his parents are devoted to remain friends for his welfare.

"They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time," reported one source to the Daily News. The 'Lizzie McGuire' actress even posted an Instagram photo of her family last New Year's Eve. 

Hilary Duff's baby Luca also went on a date with his parents at Disneyland. Nearly four years ago, the 26-year-old former Disney star couldn't stop herself from praising the 33-year-old NFL hockey player.

"I've never met anyone who can say a bad word about him. He's generous, caring and sunny. We just laugh our heads off," gushed the actress.
