More Pokemon Bank Glitch Issues Reported After US Release Date: Hacked, Cheated Pokemon To Blame For Corrupted X And Y Save Files?

Pokemon Bank has finally been released to the Nintendo eShop in the US, but not without controversy and concerns about a possible glitch to corrupt your X and Y save file.

Since the release, there have been various reports around the web about using Pokemon Bank and the corruption of gamers' Pokemon X and Y save files.

While initially many thought the rumors to be fake, more and more reports have surfaced online about Pokemon Bank and corrupted save files on X and Y.

"When I tried to transfer Pokemon from Y, it said my save 'was incompatible' and then I tried to play the file and it said the file didn't match the current version of the game even though it's a 1.2 save," wrote Goldentyphio.

"My game was corrupted after I downloaded and used Pokemon Bank," added another commenter on Kpopstarz.

Again, the reports seem to be minimal considering the sheer number of Pokemon Bank users around the world (now including the US). However, what's troubling is that no one's sure of what's causing this alleged Pokemon Bank glitch.

One theory that's out there is that attempting to transfer hacked or cheated Pokemon (or indeed, having such Pokemon at all on your save file) could lead to this issue.

As many Pokemon fans know, Pokemon Bank will not allow players to transfer hacked or cheated Pokemon. The problem of gamers receiving hacked or cheated Pokemon through Wonder Trade has been around for quite some time.

It is also important to note that Pokemon X and Y players have reported corrupted save files even before the introduction of Pokemon Bank, so the two situations are not always synonymous.

Unfortunately, no one can seem to agree on what's causing this issue, although Pokemon Bank seems to be spurring these troubling reports.

Again, be sure to comment below for any clarification during this time.
