Cinemax's action series Banshee has just been renewed for a third season. Before that, let's look at how exciting things can get in its current season.

The Truth About Unicorns, the season 2 episode 5 title, Carrie (played by Ivana Miličević) has served her sentence and has now gotten out of prison. What met her outside is no different from what she left. There are turmoils and the continuous death threats from her gang leader father Rabbit (Ben Cross).  She has confirmed that his father is still alive and still out hunting her and her partner Lucas Hood (Antony Starr). Meanwhile, in Banshee, Hood has found another enemy in Chayton Littlestone, the leader of the Redbones gang who escaped prison.

With all these scenarios, you can only expect bigger and scarier things in the sixth episode titled Armies of One. The next episode, which will air on February 14, was directed by Babak Najafi who directed a few shorts and a couple of Swedish films, including a sequel to Easy Money starring The Killing's Joel Kinnaman.

Though "Lucas" and "Carrie" have new lives and identities, there's no changing the history between the two. As her ride from prison and possibly her only friend right now, Lucas is at an advantage to rehash the past. This has been his goal all along since coming into Banshee and taking up as Sheriff, so it feels like relief for fans that have been pulling for him this whole time.

But how long will it last?

After opening up to his ex-girlfriend about her new life, their daughter Deva, and Rabbit, it looks like closure was on its way. They spend the night together, though sleeping separately, in what once was a dream house. Lucas dreams of what could have been, only to have this dream turn into Carrie with a gun to his head, pulling the trigger. Yes, we get the symbolism but will Lucas accept this?
