Why Did SECRET-MBLAQ Choose To Sign With Smaller Japan Agencies?

Idol groups SECRET and MBLAQ who have decided to make a comeback in Japan, have denied offers from big Japan agencies and has gained many people's attention.

SECRET, who has made their first Japan comeback in 2 years, has chosen a smaller new agency called Kiss Entertainment. SECRET had originally debuted in Japan through Sony Music Japan. Now, 2 years later, they have comeback with this new agency.

MBLAQ, who will be making a comeback in Japan at the end of this month, has also chosen a newer agency called Ivy Record. MBLAQ also debuted in Japan in 2011 through Sony Music Japan.

With it being 2-3 years since both groups have made a comeback in Japan, many believed that they would partner with a big agency that would help market their new albums.

However, these two groups chose smaller and newer agencies as they would be able to focus and support the groups more than a bigger and older agency would.

SECRET's Korean agency TS Entertainment stated, "Instead of choosing a big agency, we wanted a small and strong agency that would be able to spend all their time on the group."

MBLAQ's agency also commented, "We wanted an agency that would help MBLAQ grow as their agency grew.
