Which Celebrity Sang "Let It Go" Best?

Disney's Frozen has over 9 million views in Korea alone, and its immense success is partially due to its soundtracks. Songs such as "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" or "For the First Time in Forever" are on the top national music charts, and "Let It Go" has been dominating the music charts. It's been inspiring many of Korea's best singers to cover the song. With so many artists covering "Let It Go", we asked a few professional musicians to weigh in and review each performance. Musicians Kim Hyung Suk, An Young Min, and Ju Sung Min lent their professional opinions for the review.

Dia's performance was reviewed favorably. Kim Hyung Suk liked her balanced voice that portrayed both high and low notes well. An Young Min noted that her performance was closest to the original, and Ju Sung Min liked her display of emotion.

Park Hyun Bin's cover converted the song to his style. Kim Hyung Suk liked that Hyun Bin converted the song to his own style instead of singing it as is. An Young Min liked his fun and expressive vocals. Ju Sung Min also liked the fun rendition but stated that he wouldn't want to listen to it over and over again.

Son Seung Yeon, the winner of Voice Korea, also covered the song. Kim Hyung Suk liked her perfect techniques but stated that she failed to portray the song's emotions. An Young Min liked her pronunciations and high notes. Ju Sung Min said she can definitely sing, but she failed to make it unique.

Ailee also sang "Let It Go" and received favorable reviews. Kim Hyung Suk liked the live performance because her expressions were perfect. An Young Min stated that her cover shows why Ailee is one of the best R&B singers in Korea. Ju Sung Min stated that she converted a musical style song to a pop song, but her emotions bled through well.

Davichi's Lee Haeri's version was one of the best reviewed covers of "Let It Go". Kim Hyung Suk stated that her vibrations were perfect for the musical-style rendition. An Young Min liked that she made the song sound different but didn't lose the original feel. Ju Sung Min stated that Lee Haeri's voice is one of the best voices in Korea.

2BiC's cover also received good reviews. Kim Hyung Suk stated that his unique improvisations to the original vocal line is amazing. An Young Min liked this version because he sang on a harmony line instead of the original melody line. Ju Sung Min said 2BiC's cover is the best one by a male singer he's seen so far.

SISTAR's Hyolyn's version was also reviewed favorably. Kim Hyung Suk liked the fact that she didn't just belt out the song with power but sang it softly according to the original. An Young Min said her husky voice made the song sexier than the original song. Ju Sung Min stated that she made the song instantly recognizable.
