Kerry Washington's secret pregnancy is no longer a secret - the "Scandal" actress has been showing off her baby bump at a bunch of 2014 awards shows! Is Kerry Washington's due date this spring?

ABC's "Scandal" season 3 was trimmed from 22 episodes to 18, TVLine reported. TVLine's Michael Ausiello assumed that ABC cut the season short due to Kerry Washington becoming pregnant with husband Nnamdi Asomugha's baby!

"The actress' spring due date would've made shooting those final four episodes next to impossible," Ausiello wrote.

Washington, 36, kept her pregnancy so secret that even her "Scandal" cast was unaware!

"We sort of new, but she obviously wanted to keep it private, so we helped her do that," Kerry's on-screen father, Joe Morton, 66, explained to HipHollywood at Essence Women in Music event. "So there was no kind of big celebration," he explained.

"I think we celebrate the fact that she is obviously wonderfully married and wonderfully pregnant, and seeming to be enjoying the entire thing," he said. "So good luck to her."

"She is looking forward to being a mom," Morton told People. "She sort of floats around having been just married and now having a baby and putting a family together. She is in pig heaven, as they say."

During the first two months of 2014, Kerry Washington has been attending various award galas, such as the 2014 Golden Globe Awards and the SAG awards, showing off her pregnancy glow and growing baby bump. We can't wait for spring to come so we can meet Washington Jr.!

Kerry and her husband and former NFL player, Nnamdi Asomugha, married in secret on June 24, 2013.

The second half of "Scandal" Season 3 will return to ABC on Thursday, Feb. 27.
