Blockbuster Movie ‘Avengers 2’ To Film In Korea!

It's officially been announced that Avengers 2 will be filming in Korea!

On February 19th, Marvel Studio made an announcement through their official website that Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be filming some of their main scenes in Korea.

Marvel Studios will be using local staff, companies, and extras for this shoot, and as a result will contribute positively to Korea's film industry as well.

Marvel Studios President and Avengers 2 producer Kevin Feige said, "Korea has state of the art high tech, beautiful scenery, and ultra-modern buildings. As such, it is the best location to shoot a massive Blockbuster film. We want to especially thank the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea, who made it possible for us to use Korea as a filming location."

The Ministry responded through Yoon Jin Ryong, who said, "This shoot will be a great opportunity for Hollywood Studios to name Korea as a prime filming location."

Besides Korea, the movie will also be filmed in London, England, Johannesburg, and Italy's Aosta Valley.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is the sequel to Avengers, a Blockbuster movie that opened in 2012. It will be directed by Joss Whedon. When the first movie was released, it took number 1 in the box office, and even now is considered to be one of the top 3 grossing films ever. Even in Korea over 7 million viewers watched the film.

Upon hearing news of Avengers 2 being filmed in Korea, the public commented, "It's a moment I've been waiting so long for," "I never thought something like this would happen," and "Korea will become famous to the entire world."

The movie is scheduled for release in April of 2014, and will feature Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson, who appeared in the first movie. They will be joined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, and James Spader.
