As the long-awaited "Once Upon a Time" mid-season 3 premiere draws closer, spoilers regarding the highly anticipated return have surfaced.

Many fans know that "Once Upon a Time" season 3 will return with Hook traveling to New York to jog Emma and Henry's memory. The episode is titled "New York Serenade" after all.

But, why is Emma in New York when she's originally from Boston?

Spoilers confirm that Hook will raise that issue during the mid-season premiere and fans will hear an explanation for her actions.

Could it possibly have something to do with the new man in her life, played by Christopher Gorham?

According to spoiler by TVLine, Gorham's character plays a very big part of Emma and Henry's lives now, so having Hook around might be less than desired for the mother.

"She will be very wary," says "Once Upon a Time" co-creator Eddy Kitsis. "I mean, if someone knocked on your door wearing leather and guyliner and tried to kiss you...? He's lucky he didn't get a baseball bat to the head!"

"Emma's a tough cookie when she has her memories. So without them, it's not going to an easy road for him," says Adam Horowitz.

During the "Once Upon a Time" season 3 winter premiere, the other magical denizens will wind up back in the Enchanted Forest, conveniently grouped together.

Spoilers confirm that Regina and Snow will find an uncommon bond as Regina attempts to deal with the pain of missing Henry.

But let's not forget about the recently gone Rumplestiltskin.

Turns out, Belle will forge out a plan during the mid-season premiere that has to do with his battle with Peter Pan. Perhaps she will find a way to bring him back?

And lastly, there will be "monkey" business in the premiere, although as per "Once Upon a Time" tradition, they will be much more lethal than the "Wizard of Oz" counterparts.
