"Thor 3" has been confirmed, but the release date is still not confirmed. In the meantime, the lead star has some interesting projects. The cast for the Thunder god's third installment is also being discussed.

There were reports of a Hollywood remake of "The Raid," the Indonesian action film that distinguished itself because of the intense martial arts scenes.

The project is slowly taking shape. The Wrap has this report:

"Patrick Hughes is in negotiations to direct "The Raid" remake for Screen Gems and XYZ films, TheWrap has learned.

XYZ Films will produce with Gareth Huw Evans, who directed "The Raid" and its ambitious sequel "The Raid 2," which hits theaters in March."

An recent update to the report (just hours later) has Hughes sealing the deal. He is now officially on board to direct. Patrick Hughes is no stranger to action films. He is the director for the upcoming ensemble action spectacular "The Expendables 3."

Big names that are attached to the project (but not confirmed yet) include both Hemsworth brothers, Chris and Liam. The Wrap continues: "Casting has yet to begin but the Hemsworth brothers have been mentioned as possible targets for the hard-hitting action movie." Note that they have only been mentioned as 'targets' and no talks have been rumored to have taken place as yet.

Meanwhile, "Thor 3" is still building its script as well as its characters, and one name that's rising on the list is "The Enchantress."

The Enchantress is one of the more popular recurring characters in the  Thor universe. Popwatch.EW has a description: "In the comics, Amora the Enchantress is a wild-card nemesis for the Asgardian, a powerful and seductive sorceress who can enslave a man just by kissing him. She's sort of Thor's Catwoman - sometimes a villain, sometimes a love interest."

With this type of backstory, there are many interesting paths that the movie plot can consider. Popwatch continues with a casting suggestion: The long-term goal here would be for a three-way fight between Sif (using a sword), the Enchantress (using magic), and Jane (using, like, science.) To play Amora, cast Margot Robbie and tell her she was too subtle in 'Wolf of Wall Street.'"

The clamor for The Enchantress is not actually a new thing. MTV has also made cast suggestions:

"Britt Robertson of 'Under The Dome':.. perhaps most promising for Robertson's potential Enchantress-ness was her lead role as Cassie Blake, a powerful witch on The CW's "Secret Circle.

Alice Eve - She's steely, flirty, and friendly to geeky material ('Star Trek: Into Darkness,' first choice for Emma Frost in 'X-Men: First Class'), and would be a great choice for the role."
