Lee Min Ho's Management Denies Reports 'The Heirs' Actor Was Gambling In New Zealand

Actor Lee Min Ho was having a bit too much fun on a recent commercial shoot in New Zealand, according to several published reports.

Lee was reportedly seen gambling in a casino.

Yet in an interview Sunday with the Korean publication MBN Star, a spokesperson for the actor from his management company Starhaus Entertainment claimed the reports had been sensationalized.

"The report was too provocative," the spokesperson said. "It's hard to see [what Lee Min Ho was doing in the casino] as gambling."

"The location [for the commercial Lee is shooting for an outdoor clothing brand] is a small casino next to a restaurant that's more like a small arcade," Lee's rep added.

"It's a place anyone can enjoy a simple game as they eat. While he was resting during the photo shoot, he played a game that cost about the same as a drink. Even the townspeople play this game in the casino, holding their grocery baskets."

The spokesperson pointed out that the establishment is legit in the eye of the law.

"It's a legally licensed place where only people 18 and older can enter," the rep added.

And while on the subject of gambling, in an interview for the March issue of Cosmopolitan, Lee, who is best known for his roles on the television dramas "Boys Over Flowers" and "The Heirs," explained his criteria for dating.

"I like an open and cheerful girl," he said. "If I'm tired and upset by work, she can make me happy just by being near me. I find this kind of girl to be very attractive."

But Lee also likes a woman who knows what she wants.

"A woman who is self-confident under any circumstances will be charming," he said.
