Winds of Winter Release Date News Update: HarperCollins may have spoken too soon when it announced George R. R. Martin's The Winds of Winter will be released this 2015.

George R.R. Martin took to his blog to ask HarperCollins not to be so quick to schedule 'The Winds of Winter.'

"I certainly hope that THE WINDS OF WINTER is not on the schedule of ANY of my publishers. I have spent years trying to persuade them all not to schedule my books until they are completed and delivered. Scheduling, and then having to reschedule and postpone, just [ticks] people off. I'd rather not schedule at all until the date is real and certain. This flies against the standard publishing practice, however, so it's a battle that I do not always win," he wrote through his account via Live Journal, according to Wall Street Journal," Martin wrote on his blog.

Author George R.R. Martin is still not sure when he will be finished with Winds of Winter. The whole of 2014 has been filled with speculation on when Winds of Winter would hit book stores. The year came and went and it still doesn't look like George R.R. Martin will be putting the book out anytime soon. 

'The Winds of Winter' release date has been hotly debated online. But so have fans' predictions on what will be happening. A letter from George R.R. Martin reportedly leaked a major plot spoiler that the ucoming novel may focus on 5 main characters.

Martin stories that will be interconnected in the movie.
