Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks Isn’t Done With TV After American Horror Story; Would Love to Write Music For `Game of Thrones’

Stevie Nicks would love to write music for "Game of Thrones."

The witchy singer of "Rhiannon" recently conjured her acting chops for appearances on "American Horror Story: Coven" and Stevie Nicks already shared the screen with the kids of "Glee." Nicks threw herself into "Game of Thrones" when she was going through rough times and she'd love to return the favor.

Stevie Nicks told Radio Times, "I would love to write some music for the show," she said. "I've written a bunch of poetry about it - one for each of the characters."

The singer for Fleetwood Mac recently told Radio Times that she loves the TV series and the books. She said "The guy who wrote these stories [author George RR Martin] is my age now, and I think: how in the world does somebody come up with these 15 or so characters and then everything that's wrapped around each one of the 15 characters? It blows my mind that he's able to create this vast, interlinked world. As a songwriter I write little movies. But I can't imagine sitting down and writing even one small book, a novel. We each have our thing that we're really good at."

Stevie Nicks is going through her TV bucket list. The Fleetwood Mac singer said she'd love to write some music for her favorite show, HBO's "Game of Thrones."

Stevie says there's a special place in her heart for Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen. She said "Khaleesi (Clarke) is my new favorite heroine. And Cersei (Lena Headey) is fantastic."

When Nicks' mother died in late 2011, she found "Game of Thrones" helped her deal with her sadness.

Nicks said "I didn't leave the house for almost five months. And then I ot pneumonia. With my pneumonia and my mother's death, I watched the entire first season of 'Game of Thrones.' That certainly took my mind off everything."

Stevie Nicks is no stranger to TV, besides her appearances on "American Horror Story: Coven" Nicks appeared on "Up All Night" and an episode of "Glee" that was dedicated to the music of Fleetwood Mac. Nicks doesn't just look to TV to get her creative juices flowing.

She says "I'm always looking for that kind of inspiration, and I'm very inspired by the show -- as I was very inspired by 'Twilight.'"

Nicks is still stinging for Fleetwood Mac and still doing solo work. Fleetwood Mac toured this fall after releasing last April's "Extended Play." It was announced that keyboardist and songwriter Christine McVie will be rejoining the group.
