All of SISTAR Soyou's songs rank number 1.

Girl group SISTAR's Soyou is being called the "King Maker" of the music industry. That's because any song she vocally features in takes the number 1 spot in music programs and music charts. It's especially noteworthy that unfamiliar artists who are struggling become extremely popular with her guest singing.

Soyou first made a guest vocal appearance in Geeks' "Officially Missing You, Too" in November of 2012. As soon as it was released, it swept all the music charts in Korea, and stayed there for a long time. The song became a steady seller. Geeks wasn't well known at all in the major market, but they quickly became a strong group.

In May that same year, Soyou featured in Mnet "Superstar K4" contestant Hong Dae Kwang's debut song "Goodbye". Just like Geeks' song, the song took an all kill on Korean music charts at its release, including MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, and Soribada.

In September Soyou featured in underground rapper Mad Clown's major debut hit "Stupid in Love". The song took number 1 on numerous music charts, and even on MBC's "Show! Music Core".

Her latest duet "Some" with JungGiGo is at its peak. Even though it was released early this month, as of the 23rd it's still number 1 on various music charts, such as MelOn, Genie, Mnet, and Naver Music, for 3 weeks now. The song earned them the number 1 trophy on broadcast music programs from the 20th through the 23rd. Soyou's duet partner JungGiGo has gone from being an unfamiliar name to a star.

The reason why Soyou stands out as a featuring singer is because she has a voice that goes well with any kind of genre. Her enchanting voice doesn't have a tone that overly stands out, and is greatly sought after in the music industry. Her agency Starship Entertainment commented, "We have great confidence in Soyou's voice. There have been endless requests for featuring and duets."
