Super Junior Draws in 110,000 Fans at Tokyo Dome, Beating Out Lady Gaga

“Tokyo Dome performance was our dream, an unforgettable performance.”

Super Junior successfully concluded their meaningful Japanese concert. Super Junior performed at Tokyo Dome for two nights from May 12-13 part of their world tour ‘Super Show 4’ along with 110,000 fans filling up the entire venue forming their signature sapphire blue ocean.

Leading hallyu idol group Super Junior poured out all their energy through passionate singing and performances. The charming nine members gave a dynamic performance along with loud cheers from the audience.

The concert was filled with various performances especially performing from their fifth studio album ‘Superman’ as well as their new single ‘Opera’ that was released on May 9 in Japan. The special guest of the show was f(x) who performed ‘Pinocchio’ as well as joining Super Junior’s performance of ‘Oops!!’

Throughout the 4 hour concert over two days the group performed a total of 37 songs including their hit songs such as ‘Sorry Sorry,’ ‘Bonamana,’ ‘Mr. Simple’ as well as diverse solo performances.

The performance at Tokyo Dome for 2 nights drew in 110,000 fans this is more meaningful as the group achieved such results despite that the group has never officially debut or gone through any form of promotion in Japan. The ticket sales surpassed even that of Lady Gaga who has recently visited Japan. Lady Gaga held 3 performances at Saitama Arena drawing in 60,000 fans. Although she held one more performance yet still there is almost twice the difference.

Super Junior will hold their encore concert in Seoul on May 26-27 at Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.
