As "The Legend of Korra" gears up for its return with Book 3 "Change," fans should keep their eyes peeled as Nickelodeon prepare for the upfront on March 13.

For those who do not know, an upfront is an event for a network to persuade advertisers to endorse their programs. And during the Nickelodeon upfront, it is highly suspected that the first official footage from "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 will be unveiled.

Animation for "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 is nearing completion, which is usually a sign that a release date is looming closer, and experts such as Emergency Awesome predict that a premiere date as early as April or May is feasible.

As such, the two biggest theories for a release date announcement for "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 is either during the 2014 Nickelodeon upfront (Book 1 revealed its release date here in 2011), or at the San Diego Comic-Con (the event when Book 2 was previewed).

And, with the recent teaser trailer that popped up in the Netherlands for Book 3, it is probably to Nickelodeon's benefit to have the official reveal relatively soon.

Keep in mind that while it does have old footage, there are definitely new footage from Book 3.
