Junggigo & Soyou Of Sistar's 'Some' Still Number 1 In Fourth Week On The Billboard K-Pop Hot 100: 2NE1 Debuts At Number 2

For the most part, the Billboard K-pop top five looks the same as last week, with two fairly major additions, 2NE1 and Girls' Generation.

In the battle of the two superstar girl groups, both with albums released in the last week, 2NE1 appears to be coming out on top, with their single "Come Back Home" debuting on the chart this week at number two this week and "Gotta Be You" debuting at number four.

Though they might not have locked down the number one single on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 this week, 2NE1's album "Crush," released on Feb. 27, debuted at number 61 on the Billboard US album chart, a first for a K-pop album.

According to Billboard.com reporter Jeff Benjamin, "Crush" sold 5,000 albums in its first week, shattering the record of 4,000 copies within the same timeframe that fellow YG Entertainment act Big Bang had set with "Alive" back in 2012.

Girls' Generation's daring new electro track "Mr.Mr." debuted at number five.

Besides that, thing's ain't changed so much.

"Some," by Sistar singer Soyou and vocalist Junggigo's is at number one for the third week in a row, after debuting on the Billboard K-Pop chart exactly one month ago.

The song is part of the soundtrack for the Seoul Broadcasting System drama "You Who Came From The Stars."

"Every Moment Of You," K-pop balladeer Sung Si Kyung's offering for the smash soundtrack, is currently at number three in its third week on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.

The song fell one place from its number two status last week.

Earlier this week, "You Who Came From The Stars" broke the record for the most money ever paid for a Korean drama, after the top Chinese video production firm Youku purchased distribution rights to the program for a reported $50,000 per episode.
