Movie 'Snowpiercer' Confirms U.S. Release Date For This June

Movie "Snowpiercer" will be releasing in the U.S. this summer.

On March 6, a U.S. movie media revealed that "Snowpiercer," which was directed by Bong Joon Ho, will be releasing on June 27.

This movie has been rated R in the U.S. and will be for audiences 17 and over. 

They will be releasing a 'limited release' version in the U.S. as well.

They have decided to see how the reaction goes before opening up more locations in the U.S.

Many are also curious as how the movie will do as it will be releasing around the same time "Transformers: Age Of Extinction" the movie will be releasing as well.

"Snowpiercer" is a South Korean science fiction action film based on a French graphic novel. About 80% of the film was shot in English, and it stars Chris Evans, Song Kang-ho, Go Ah-sung, Jamie Bell, Ewen Bremner, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Octavia Spencer, and Ed Harris.

The film is set in a future where a runaway experiment to stop global warming has caused an ice age that killed nearly all life on Earth. The only survivors are the inhabitants of the "Snowpiercer," a massive train that travels around the planet and is powered by a perpetual-motion engine. Over time a class system evolves on the train, with the elites inhabiting the front of the train and poor inhabiting the back of the train. Tired of their poor living conditions, the riders in the back revolt, attempting to seize control of the engine, which the elites in the front consider sacred.

Since its release, "Snowpiercer" gathered about 9 million watchers.
