Engaged Ashlee Simpson is preparing for her wedding to fiance Evan Ross as Pete Wentz's ex wife was snapped going dress hunting.

The "Pieces of Me" singer was snapped shopping at a store specializing in vintage clothing in Hollywood, Calif. on Friday. MailOnline noted that there were "white frocks" hanging clearly from behind the display window.

Ashlee Simpson, 29, got engaged to fiance Evan Ross-four years her junior--during a getaway in Hawaii after just seven months of dating. Evan Ross gave her a 5-carat diamong ring with platinum and gold band.

The ring was also accented with rubies, which Pete Wentz's ex wife had no trouble showing off during her Thursday dress hunting.

This would be the second marriage for the now engaged Ashlee Simpson who was once married to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wenz. They divorced two years ago but has a three-year-old son, Bronx.

In the series of photos published on MailOnline, the singer was wearing black shirt and black denims and black shoes. Her outfit was only accented by a Kimono-inspired black robe with floral designs.

Last month, the New York Post published an interview with Ashlee Simpson's future sister-in-law, Rhonda Ross, 42, who claimed that they have no problem welcoming the singer into the family.

"I'm really happy to have her join the family," Ross said, who is the half-sister of Evan Ross, son of living legend Diana Ross.

She revealed that Pete Wentz's ex wife and Bronx joined the family gathering over the Christmas holidays.

"Ashlee's son is the same age as my son, so they play together," she said.

According to MailOnline, engaged Ashlee Simpson already received the blessing of Diana Ross when they were introduced in August last year, before she accepted the marriage proposal of Evan Ross, at the sidelines of her concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
