Ashlee Simpson's wedding to fiancé Evan Ross could happen sooner than expected as the pair couldn't wait to say "I do." The "Hunger Games: Mokingjay" actor's legendary mother Diana Ross is even helping with the wedding plans.

Evan Ross told E! News they just want to proceed with the wedding as soon as possible because "we're in love."

"Honestly, we could go and get married right now, wherever," he said. "This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I'm young, but the same time, I've lived a different life than most and I can't think of a happier moment."

He recounted that he wanted an Ashlee Simpson wedding the moment he laid eyes on her. "I would have asked her a month after I was with her," he said, although he decided to give the relationship a time to percolate.

However, their status quickly changed from merely dating to preparing a wedding when he proposed just six months into their relationship, and she said yes.

Evan Ross, who plays Messalla in "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" also revealed that they already have a wedding date but he declined to elaborate. But he did say that his mother, Diana Ross, has been hands-on with the upcoming wedding to Ashlee Simpson.

"My mom is helping plan my wedding right now," Evan Ross said, which isn't surprising considering that "she's involved in all levels of my life."

"She's involved in every piece of our wedding [and] engagement party," he added.

As for the kids after his weedding to Ashlee Simpson, the "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" actor said: "It's up to Ashlee, but I want to have a lot of kids. I grew up with 10 siblings."

Judging by the way Evan Ross is excited about the Ashlee Simpson wedding, they might even beat to the altar Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson, who proposed to her in 2010, MailOnline said.
