BoA's Hollywood debut will be made in April through the movie "Make Your Move 3D". According to the director, Duane Adler, he created the part of "Aya" specifically for BoA.

"Make Your Move 3D" is a movie about two people, Donnie and Aya, who come from different backgrounds but are united through their passion for dancing. BoA willl playing the role of Aya, the leader of the dance group COBU.

So why did Duane Adler choose BoA for the role? It's a long story.

Director Duane Adler became inspired to write a movie about the Cobu performance that he saw on Broadway back in 2006. When it became time to choose the cast, Adler was directed to watch BoA's music video by a friend. BoA was only 17 at the time.

Adler immediately decided that he will have no one but BoA play the part of Aya. He said he was inspired by the power and the energy that BoA displayed through the music video.

In order to meet BoA, Adler personally attended BoA's concert in Japan. He was blown away by her on-stage persona as well as her stardom as the "Star of Asia". He continually reached out to her, and BoA was convinced that this was a good way for her to showcase her passion for dancing to the world.

In the movie BoA displays the Cobu - a fusion dance created by Yako Miyamoto which integrates tap dancing and the Taiko drums. It's a fusion performance that marries Eastern rhythm to Western techniques.

"Make Your Move 3D", featuring BoA, will be released in the theaters on April 17th.
