The very last episode of the MBC drama 'The King 2 Hearts' was aired on the 24th of May. The episode featured Kim Hang Ah (Ha Ji Won) and Lee Jae Ha (Lee Seung Gi) overcoming the threat of war between North and South Korea and finally got their happily ever after.

The episode that aired on the 23rd, an attack from the United States army was predicted. As a result, the tension between North and South Korea heightened to an uncontrollable level, which causes Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah to split up once again. South and North Korea both ordered a national security/defense level to 2 (the highest being 1). From then on, it was only a matter of time until the start of war.

Meanwhile, after Lee Jae Ha sends a secret document regarding the attack in North Korea, a secret meeting was held. Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ha met as representatives of North and South Korea. During the meeting, an idea suddenly occurred to Lee Jae Ha. Lee Jae Ha suggested the marriage between him and Kim Hang Ah the day before United States was scheduled to attack North Korea. Lee Jae Ha stated, 'Hang Ah and I should get married. It would show the United States that North and South Korea overcame our differences and they will not be able to attack,' and placed himself in danger for the marriage by proposing the idea to North Korea.

North Koreans accepted Lee Jae Ha's idea of marriage and a sense of calm falls upon the North and the South Korea. Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah wed at Panmunjom. Their marriage lessened the tension between the two nations but the dangers still remained. Regardless, Lee Jae Ha and Kim Hang Ah's love risked everything and overcame the biggest hardship of avoiding war.

Even 5 years later, Kim Hang Ah and Lee Jae Ha was shown as living happily ever after together.
