What the article states is that the 'National Basketball League' has partnered up with 'MK Trend' which is a South Korean "retailer" that fifty-six stores "across the country." What 'MK Trend' is allowed to do is that they can "alter" the "NBA team colors" by adding "funky designs" to the "league merchandise." If you have watched K-Pop music videos lately, you will noticed that some of your idols are sporting the look by wearing bright NBA jerseys. The article further states that a Boston Celtics fan will go crazy if he/she show the colors of their team being "purple and gold." The point is to be an "flashy" and this is what K-Pop idols are doing. Stars that has worn NBA jerseys are Girls' Generation and actress Song Ji Hyo sporting an "NBA cap."
