Sports news media 'Sports Illustrated' featured an article on how NBA is "using K-Pop to dominate the "pop culture." So far, the NBA has done something to gain popularity in South Korea. What the article states is that the 'National Basketball League' has partnered up with 'MK Trend' which is a South Korean "retailer" that fifty-six stores "across the country." What 'MK Trend' is allowed to do is that they can "alter" the "NBA team colors" by adding "funky designs" to the "league merchandise." If you have watched K-Pop music videos lately, you will noticed that some of your idols are sporting the look by wearing bright NBA jerseys. The article further states that a Boston Celtics fan will go crazy if he/she show the colors of their team being "purple and gold." The point is to be an "flashy" and this is what K-Pop idols are doing. Stars that has worn NBA jerseys are Girls' Generation and actress Song Ji Hyo sporting an "NBA cap." The Wall Street Journal featured an article that explained what judges on the show 'Kpop Star 3' are looking for in-terms of being a singer. What was stated is that you need to have "groove" as well "soul." According to the "three K-Pop labels" which are "Mr. Park’s JYP Entertainment, Mr. Yang’s YG Entertainment and Antenna Music," these two are what is needed. Other talent is that you need to be able to sing, have a "humble attitude", need to be young, and have a great voice that has a nice blend of "air and sound." News media Straits Times featured an article that explained that Crayon Pop will be the ones opening up Lady Gaga's "upcoming summer concerts in Canada and the United States." "Mother Monster" tweeted @ladygaga on their Tweeter by tweeting, "I'm excited to announce June 26 through July 22 of Lady Gaga's artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball will be opened by CRAYON POP!"

News media Popdust featured an article about who is ranked number one this week. The star who ranks number one this week is 2NE1 for their single, "Come Back Home." "Come Back Home" rank at the podium on the "Official Gaon Chart for the second consecutive week." The star who ranks number two is SISTAR's Soyou and JungGiGo for their single, "Some." With their beautiful single, it is no wonder why Soyou ranks number two this week.
