American Horror Story Season 4 Freakshow Cast Confirmed With Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy Returning: Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga Leaving Series?

With "American Horror Story: Freakshow" confirmed for season 4, some of the cast will be returning, but others are not.

Recently on Twitter, Ryan Murphy confirmed that "American Horror Story" season 4 will be titled "Freakshow."

In addition to "Freakshow," we now know more cast members who will be returning to "American Horror Story" season 4.

"Set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950, Freak Show finds Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.," writes EW contributor Tim Stack.

"Her group of 'unusuals'? Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy all play performers whom Lange’s character has rescued; Denis O’Hare and Emma Roberts are also in talks to return. 'Freak Show’s' 13 episodes will track this group as they do anything to keep their business around."

In addition, Emma Roberts and Denis O'Hare are also reportedly in negotiations to return.

However, there are some glaring absences from the cast announcement for "American Horror Story: Freakshow."

So far, cast members Taissa Farmiga and Lily Rabe might be opting out of the popular series for season 4 in favor of other projects.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Rabe, who played Misty Day on "American Horror Story: Coven," has been tapped to star in microbudget horror movie "The Veil" opposite Jessica Alba.

Meanwhile, "American Horror Story" season 4 might be losing Taissa Farmiga again after the cast member skipped "Asylum." Dread Central reports that Farmiga has signed on to a comedy horror flick called "The Final Girls" opposite Malin Akerman.

With production set to begin in Louisiana in April, this could very much conflict with "American Horror Story" season 4 filming.
