Sims 4 Release Date, News And Updates [PHOTO]: Soundtrack To Be Recorded At Abbey Road Studios; In-Game Cutscenes Not Returning For Upcoming Iteration Of EA’s Lifestyle Simulation Title

In-game cutscenes from "The Sims 2" will not return on the upcoming iteration of EA simulation game, according to the latest update about The Sims 4.

There were speculations that emerged suggesting that The Sims 4 might have the in-game cutscenes feature once again, which was showcased in The Sims 2. Basically, as described on SimsVIP, this happens when you experience a particular milestone in your rSim's life that a "dynamic cutscene would take you right into the action and show you the event up close and personal."

This Sims 4 rumor began when the technology called Dynamic Cutscene Sequencing was presented during one of the sessions of the recently-held Game Developers Conference. However, according to SimsGuruGraham's statement on The Sims 3 Forums, that particular Sims 2 feature is something that is not included in the plans for The Sims 4 at the moment.

He said:

Although Brian (one of our talented engineers) discussed some of our technology called Dynamic Cutscene Sequencing in his talk, cut scenes in the manner that Simmers are familiar with from the days of The Sims 2 are not something we're planning on including in The Sims 4 at this time.

As for more news, according a separate post from SimsVIP, The Sims 4 soundtrack is going to be recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The post reads, "If there is any part of the music industry the world knows best, it's Abbey Road Studios. With today's release of The Sims 4 "Abbey Road" screenshot, EA has confirmed that the score for The Sims 4 will be recorded at Abbey Road Studios."
