Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's split may not be final as the Coldplay rocker still hopes to reconcile with "Iron Man" actress, even as her ex Donovan Leitch broke his silence over kiss they shared in September last year.

"Chris still loves Gwyneth and would like the marriage to survive," an insider told Sunday Mirror.

The publication quoted the same insider as saying that despite the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split, the singer still hopes "they might be able to rediscover what they had years ago and would love to rebuild their relationship back to what it once was."

The couple already put up their London mansion up for sale although the list did not specificy the market price for the property.

The Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split was confirmed by the statement released by the actress in her own lifestyle website goop.com. 

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," she wrote.

"'We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."

After reports of the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split, the couple then hied off to Eleuthera in the Bahamas with their children Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, perhaps to escape the tabloid circus.

Meanwhile, Gwyneth Paltrow's ex boyfriend Donovan Leitch spoke to MailOnline about the time he was snapped kissing the actress during the L.A. Dodgers game.

"I was just saying goodbye to her. It was purely innocent. We were sitting in the owner's box in front of 30,000 people with her two children right next to us. That isn't exactly the setting for a secret liaison," he said, adding that the telephoto picture looked like they were smooching.
