EXO, 2PM, BEAST, INFINITE - Music Kings Are Coming Back

Music kings with massive fandoms are making a strong comeback soon.

2PM, INFINITE, BEAST and EXO are looking forward to their comeback this year. Boy idol groups are traditionally strong in their albums and music sources. Whenever they release new albums, their music chart ratings are strong. Since these boy groups will have their comebacks back to back, the Korean music market is expected to be full of vigor.

The first of these boy groups to announce their comeback date is EXO. On April 1st SM Entertainment revealed that EXO will be holding an 'EXO comeback show' on the 15th at the Seoul Jamsil Gymnasium and releasing their new mini album.

Last December EXO released a winter special album Miracles of December and held their project activities. However their last formal album was released on August, with their 1st album repackage, which was 8 months ago.

EXO will split into EXO-K and EXO-M and pursue activities in Korea and China, respectively. Last year EXO released the hit song "Growl". Their 1st album and repackaged 1st album sold over 1 million copies, and rose to the top almost instantaneously. There's great anticipation as to whether they will be able to maintain and solidify their positions as main idols with their new album.

2PM successfully completed their Japan Arena Tour last month, and is preparing for their comeback in Korea. After their full length 3rd album Grown last June, 2PM hasn't released a new album in Korea.

On the 15th of last month 2PM filmed their music video, and are known to be putting the finishing touches on their album and adjusting their comeback date. One agency rep stated, "We're doing our best to create a fully completed work. Currently we are coordinating the album release date according to various possibilities that we have in mind.

BEAST is planning to release their new song at the end of this month. Since January they've been touring Japan for promotions. The group has been traveling back and forth from Korea to Japan in preparation for their new album.

Their last official 2nd album Hard to Love, How to Love, which was released last July, was entirely produced by member Yong Junhyung. The new album is expected to be filled with self-composed songs by Yong Junhyung and other songs by famous songwriters. Currently they're trying to finish the final selection of songs.

Many song recordings are in progress, but it's been made known that they're not yet in the finishing stages. It's possible that they will have their comeback in early May. One agency rep stated, "We're currently having discussions so that we can highlight the members' individual colors and have a brand new transformation."

INFINITE is also planning a comeback and album release at the end of the month. Their last album Destiny was released in July last year. Since then, for 6 months they've been busy with their world tour, and had put a cap on their domestic activities in Korea. Their fans are eager at the news of their comeback.

The members recently completed working on the new songs in their album, and starting on April 1st they went into filming their music video. They revealed that the group has been preparing for several music videos for their comeback.

INFINITE revealed their comeback news through a video on February 28th at their solo concert. Before their official album release, they will release the instrumental version of the album The Original on the 10th.
