Richie Sambora, the Jon Bovi guitarist who was recently sidelined from the band while Jon Bon Jovi tries to buy a football team, hit the beach with his ex-wife in one of the most friendly post-breakup relationships in show business. Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora's divorce made headlines after Richie Sambora, started dating Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen's ex-wife.  Denise Richards was one of Heather Locklear's best friends at the time.

Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora got divorced in 2007, but it looks like they are still very close as the rock star and the model/actress were spotted basking in the sun during a walk on the beach.

Heather Locklear filed for divorce from Richie Sambora after 11 years of marriage in 2006. At first the divorce was contentious, in the press, because of Richie and Denise Richards.

Denise Richards recently joined Best Friends Animal Society's efforts to end the killing of dogs and cats in our nation's shelters along with Danny Trejo, Carrie Ann Inaba and other celebrities who will be featured in a photo campaign featuring celebrities posed with their personal rescued dogs and/or cats in support of the Save Them All initiative.

It seems all the drama is behind the star couple now as photographers caught Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora together with their daughter in Kona, Hawaii on Sunday.

In 2012 Richie Sambora told Access Hollywood "We're very good. It's actually even beyond for [our daughter's] sake. Heather and I really respect each other, and we've become better friends, I think, now that we're not married."

Both Locklear and Sambora have made headlines and gossip columns for substance abuse-related problems. The two of them have been arrested for driving under the influence and the both have done stints in rehab facilities. Heather Locklear's doctor called 911 in March 2011 saying that he thought Locklear was suicidal. When emergency workers arrived at her home they deemed the actress to be fine.

In January, 2012 Heather Locklear's sister called the for help because she thought her sister was in was in danger after ingesting alcohol along with prescription medication. Locklear spent some time at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, California after the incident.

Richie was arrested in March, 2008 was arrested for driving under the influence in Laguna Beach. His Daughter Ava was in the car at the time. She was ten.
