Kerry Washington's due date may be sooner than we think! A very pregnant Kerry Washington skipped out on the "Scandal" season 3 wrap party and instead opted to rest, she revealed on Twitter. Is her growing baby bump ready to pop?

"Super sad to have missed the #ScandalWrapParty & a night out with my #Scandal fam but very grateful to be getting some much needed rest! Xo," Kerry Washington wrote on Twitter on March 31.

A very pregnant Kerry Washington was also M.I.A. over the weekend when her husband Nnamdi Asomugha was honored by rapper Common's organization, The Common Ground Foundation, according to CocoaFab.com.

The website speculates: "If we assume that she revealed her pregnancy after finishing her first trimester (at 3 months) and you use your fingers to count the months, it occurs to us that she's hovering around 9 months."

During the first two months of 2014, Kerry Washington has been attending various award galas, such as the 2014 Golden Globe Awards and the SAG awards, showing off her pregnancy glow and growing baby bump. We can't wait for Kerry Jr. to arrive!

ABC's "Scandal" season 3 was trimmed from 22 episodes to 18, TVLine reported. TVLine's Michael Ausiello assumed that ABC cut the season short due to Kerry Washington becoming pregnant with husband Nnamdi Asomugha's baby!

"The actress' spring due date would've made shooting those final four episodes next to impossible," Ausiello wrote.

"I think we celebrate the fact that she is obviously wonderfully married and wonderfully pregnant, and seeming to be enjoying the entire thing," Kerry's on-screen father, Joe Morton, 66, explained to HipHollywood at Essence Women in Music event. "So good luck to her."

"She is looking forward to being a mom," Morton told People. "She sort of floats around having been just married and now having a baby and putting a family together. She is in pig heaven, as they say."

Kerry and her husband and former NFL player, Nnamdi Asomugha, married in secret on June 24, 2013.
