Girl group Girls' Generation is spending a very eventful 2014. We're only beginning the 4th month of the year, but they've had one incident rise up after another, varying in subject. There have been 3 cases of relationship announcements, comeback music video data loss, and even a police investigation most recently.

January 1

Member Yoona revealed that she's in a relationship with singer and actor Lee Seung Gi. Lee Seung Gi had previously pointed out several times that Yoona is his ideal woman, and his relationship with the beautiful Yoona has been received positively by the public.

January 3

Sooyoung admitted that she is dating Jung Kyung Ho. The couple had denied relationship rumors previously in February and October of 2013, but they finally acknowledged their relationship. Jung Kyung Ho caused controversy because he had stated, "I'm in a relationship with a non-celebrity girlfriend."

February 14

On the eve of their comeback, Girls' Generation had a red light put on their activities. Their new title song "Mr.Mr" music video data had been corrupted, and had to delay their upcoming schedules. They were planning to release their album and music video on the 19th and have their first comeback performance on the 20th, but all their plans were thwarted. Girls' Generation appeased their fans by releasing a video showing the girls' day to day activities. They then released their album on the 24th and their music video on the 28th, and kicked off their official comeback.

April 1

This is news worthy of April Fool's Day. Girls' Generation Hyoyeon was caught in a case that seemed like a lie. Hyoyeon was at her friend's house on March 30th, and got into a squabble with him. The friend was hit in the process, and reported Hyoyeon to the police. The police concluded that it was not an assault.

April 4

Tiffany and Nichkhun announced their relationship. JYP boy group 2PM's member Nichkhun and SM girl group Girls' Generation member Tiffany's relationship rumor had made rounds online preceding their announcement.

That very same time, Hyoeyon revealed that she was still dating her ex-boyfriend Kim Joon Hyung. It also turns out that he's the very man that was involved in the previous police investigation. However, according to SM Entertainment, "They are broken up."

Korea's top girl group Girls' Generation is in their 8th year already. From January to April (so far), the girls have had many happenings, both good and bad. How will the rest of their year go? We hope that the remaining months in 2014 are filled with more good news for all the members.
