‘Real Man’ Henry & Squad Leader Are Unexpectedly Comical With A Little Help From Tiffany

MBC's Korean army experience program "Real Man" features celebrities entering the Korean army and receiving real military training. Super Junior M's Henry, who is Chinese, is one of the most entertaining stars of the cast because of his ignorance of Korean culture and military standards. The one who gives him the hardest time is his squad leader An Pyung Hoon, who is nicknamed "tiger" because of his fiery demeanor. The duo of Henry and the squad leader are always clashing, but one phone call changed them into best friends.

At first, their relationship was horrible, especially for Henry. Henry's lack of knowledge of the Korean culture subjected him to constantly getting in trouble by the squad leader. Henry's demeanor and lackluster attitude irked the squad leader as well. Henry repeatedly stated, "He and I are stroking on different chords. We're not meant to be friends," in the interviews.

Even when they were receiving cannon firing training, Henry was unable to comply with many of the commands from the higher officers, which lead to both the squad leader and himself getting in trouble. This agitated the squad leader as well, who previously pleaded with Henry to do his best so that they do not suffer punishment. Having failed that promise, Henry stated in the interview that he and the squad leader will never get along.

That all changed, however, when Henry discovered that the squad leader was a fan of Girls' Generation's Tiffany. Because of his SM connection, Henry was actually a good friend of Tiffany. He asked the squad leader if he would be nicer if Henry called Tiffany on the squad leader's behalf and then proceeded to call Tiffany.

The squad leader behaved unlike himself as soon as he picked up the phone, first shyly asking whether she was the real Tiffany from Girls' Generation. When Tiffany confirmed and apologized for Henry's misbehavior, the squad leader immediately changed his opinion, telling Tiffany that Henry is the ace of the squad who cannot do wrong. The squad leader also shyly confessed Tiffany that he loved her, and Tiffany also repeated it back to him, saying, "Thank you, I love you, too."

The "Tiffany Effect" was truly great. The squad leader, who Henry considered to be a borderline enemy, became Henry's best friend. He embraced Henry in thankfulness, and began to give Henry special treatment. He began to kindly care for Henry, even squeezing out Ketchup for him during meal time.

It established an interesting dynamic between the two, to say the least. Here's hoping that the duo will have more time to entertain the viewers with their relationship.
