SHINee is taking South America by storm!

Just two days after exciting a crowd of 8,000 in Mexico City, the popular SM Entertainment idol group traveled south of the equator for their first solo concert in Chile.

The performance, titled SHINee Concert 'SHINee World III' in Santiago, gathered an impressive crowd of 8,500 on April 6. It was held at the Movistar Arena in the Chilean capital city.

There were reports that fans began gathering outside the concert hall the night before, some standing in line for nearly 24 hours in order to secure the best spot inside the venue.

The excited Chilean fans also prepared a special event for the the SHINee members as a way to show their appreciation and to encourage the K-Pop idols to return for more concerts in the future. They held up signs wishing member Jonghyun a happy birthday and coordinated a surprise balloon-waving scene for the group's performance of "Colorful."

In total, SHINee performed over two dozen songs including their biggest hits such as "Ring Ding Dong," "Dream Girl," and "Everybody." They also gave a special performance of "The Macarena" to further excite their Spanish-speaking fans.

Before the show the group also held a press conference that was attended by well over 100 reporters.

SHINee will wrap up the South American leg of their world tour on April 8 with a sold out performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the Luna Park Arena.
