Watch Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2014 Simulcast On HBO As Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Hall And Oates, Kiss, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens And The E Street Band Will Be Inducted

Watch Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2014 Simulcast On HBO: The 2014 Award ceremony will be shown not live but on a later day as HBO will televise the event on May 31 at 9pm.

The inductees for the 2014 class are: Cat Stevens, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Nirvana, Kiss, Linda Ronstadt, Peter Gabriel, Andrew Loog Oldham, Brian Epstein and The E Street Band.

Daryl Hall of Hall And Oates, meanwhile, is not much impressed of their induction in the Hall of Fame as he claimed the governing body to be all political.

"I don't know. It's all political isn't it? It's run by people who have their own agendas. I wasn't part of their agendas and now I'm a part of their agenda," Hall said after being asked why he thought it took so long before they got in the lifetime award.

Hall was also asked by Fox news that even though he thought it was all political that if he was angry or happy that the time they got inducted took this long before getting recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.

"I'm not angry because I don't care enough to be angry. It's a nice thing. Late 20th century music was a really important thing. It changed the world and I'm part of that, and now I'm part of the museum that celebrates that."

Nirvana, meanwhile, part of the 2014 class, was not a shock for some people as they were nominated to join the prestigious group exactly 25 years after releasing "Love Buzz" in 1988.

"That's really no surprise to me," says Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Joel Peresman to Rolling Stones. "People see the relevancy of that band. We're just getting into the creative of the show, so I don't know what's going to happen with that performance. They have to figure it out."

To be part of the group, a group or artist at least needs to have a record or release for 25 years.

The induction ceremony will be held the Barclays Center in Brooklyn starting at 7:30 pm, April 10. The annual ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will again be televised not live but on a later date, which is May 31 at 9pm EDT on HBO.
