Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split update revealed that "conscious uncoupling" pair might not be getting back together as it was also said that the proposal of the "Iron Man" actress to pretend their marriage was okay was nixed by the Coldplay rocke. Chris Martin apparently felt that going public with their separation is the right decision.
"It was his idea to announce the split. They had drifted apart, and there was no chance they'd get back together, so he felt it was wrong to keep pretending," an insider told NY Post.
The publication said that Gwyneth Paltrow is now upset with the Chris Martin split, not because their marriage didn't work but because the separation blame is going to be pinned on her.
"Most people believe it was her fault the marriage ended because of her alleged links to real-estate mogul Jeffrey Soffer and entertainment lawyer Kevin Yorn," wrote Richard Johnson for Page Six.
"Martin, who didn't lose his virginity until he was 22, seems to be the innocent naïf who couldn't keep up with an entitled Hollywood princess," he added.
The NY Post also said that Gwyneth Paltrow's denial on the Chris Martin split was evident when she called the separation in her own blog "conscious uncoupling."
Gwyneth Paltrow announced the Chris Martin split in her official blog site Goop Lifestyle:
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," she wrote.
"'We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
In an earlier article by Sunday Mirror, however, an insider claimed that Chris Martin "still loves Gwyneth and would like the marriage to survive."
The publication quoted the same insider as saying that despite the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split, the singer still hopes "they might be able to rediscover what they had years ago and would love to rebuild their relationship back to what it once was."
