Celebrity Spotlight Interview: Actress/Host Christine Lee Talks About Her Life, Career And Affinity For YG Artists [Exclusive]

Entertainer Christine Lee talks to KpopStarz about her career, her life, and some of her favorite stars.

Is it safe to call you an actress/host/blogger? And if so, what do you enjoy about being all three?

Haha yeah, it's lookin' like I'm up to all three. I feel that I'm changing and learning something every single day; all three are things that look to life experiences and adventures for fuel and inspiration. I feel I'm a better actor when I recognize the truths and stakes of daily life, I'm a better host when I learn more what it means to listen well and that blogging is all about giving a voice to things both discovered and undiscovered in and around me.

You beat out tons of people to be a host for Playstation. If you had to choose a dream hosting job, what would it be?

Man, good question. I still dream about traveling and connecting with folks from all around the world, eating meals with strangers on benches, floors, tables together, learning about people's families and communities...anything that allows me to really say I connected with people - that'd make me pretty happy.

True or false. You worked with Tiger JK? Tell us about this!

True, in part! Props to my friend Steve Nguyen of Channel APA who dialed me into the project. Steve and I have always talked about working together so when he asked me what I thought of being in an animated video, it was such an easy YES; green screen work is so much fun!) and I've been a listener of Tiger JK and Tasha for years now so that was a no- brainer, too. Because the shoot was green screen work, I didn't get to meet them in person but we still had so much fun shooting. In all white one piece body suits. We looked like human condoms.

What's a role you would kill to play?

Roles that include the words: BAD ASS, BATTLE, FLYING, DONUT HOLES, FUTURE ASIA - in no particular order. Also, for as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be in one of those historical Korean dramas that involve language from long ago, palaces and those crazy intricate hanbok and hair get-ups.

Is there a Korean artist or actor you look up to? If so, why?

So many! For music artists: I love CL's fearlessness, GD's sense of adventure, Simon D's underground creds and Brown Eyed Soul gives me so many feels. Actors: Jung Woo Sung gets me every time with his easy presence, Yoon Eun Hye has been a long time favorite too - love her versatility and how she's been able to grow and dabble in all sorts of roles, ranges and looks.

Do you listen to K-pop and if so, who is your favorite band/singer?

Allll the time. Hmm, currently on super replay is Primary. My fave though for now would still be GD and Big Bang, 2NE1 is a close tie, I have mad love for Lee Hi and can't wait for her new stuff (I obviously have a strong liking for YG artists) but I miss TVXQ when they were all together and when they first came out. I was SO team Xiah back then, haha. And I love CNBLUE!

What's next for you?

I'm working on my YouTube Channel! Lookin' forward to sharing my life and adventures in LA, fun food events (LA loooves food), a narrative series of some up close and personal stories of friends doing dope things here in LA and I'm engaged - so lots of wedding planning (and a series vlog of the process) hopefully coming up, too. And of course, still putting in the work on the acting front!

Any last words for KpopStarz?

Thanks KpopStarz for the interview; hope to connect with y'all on many more adventures! :)
