SECRET Hyosung To Release Solo Album This May

Girl group SECRET member Jun Hyosung will be releasing her solo album this May.

An official stated today, "It is planned to be released in May, but they are still debating on a specific date."

The official continued, "She has worked with producer Double Sidekick for this album, but because their are other songs as well, they are still deciding on which one will be the title song."

On the other hand, Hyosung has been busy with her role in a drama.

Jun Hyosung is the leader, main dancer and lead vocalist of SECRET. She became one of the finalists on Mnet's "Battle Shinwha" in 2005, which led to her signing a recording contract with Good Entertainment. In 2007 she was to debut in the group "Five Girls" along with G.NA, Wonder Girls' Yubin, After School's UEE, and a former T-ara member and current Spica member Yang Jiwon. However, this group disbanded before their planned debut because of the management company's financial problems.

Hyosung was later discovered by TS Entertainment through a show that was aired on SBS MTV, called "Diary of Five Girls," and spent two years in the company as a trainee.

Since debuting as a part of SECRET in 2009, the group produced hit singles such as "Magic," "Madonna," and, "Shy Boy."

Although she had struggled with injuries, financial problems with her family and the loss of her father to cancer, she continued on to become a successful idol singer and a dancer.

She also appeared in a TV sitcom, "Salamander Guru and The Shadows" that aired on SBS in 2012, and played "Soo Yeon" in the sitcom.

She has said that she was influenced by pop and R&B groups such as Fin.K.L and S.E.S. She was also influenced by South Korean ballad singers such as Kim Bum Soo, Sung Si Kyung, and Kim Yeon Woo.
