Amanda Knox Retrial Update: ‘Foxy Knoxy’ Confident Evidence Will Free Her? Convicted Killer Attend Innocence Network Event, Says She’s ‘Scared’

Amanda Knox's retrial aftermath looms largely on the UW student but "Foxy Knoxy" is still confident that evidence will free her. The convicted killer attended the Innocence Network Event last week to mingle with other "wrongfully accused."

The pretty student told a local news in Oregon that the whole Amanda Knox retrial has created so much vitriol against her, not just in Italy but in the U.S. as well. "Foxy Knoxy" also said that she almost didn't come to the conference because she didn't know what to expect.

Amanda Knox told KGW: "I'm learning a lot and I'm really excited to be here. I didn't know what to expect, but I'm blown away by the kindness."

"I was obviously very nervous to come down here," she added. "It's such a vulnerable thing to have experienced and then to expose yourself."

The Innocence Network Event describes itself as a group of organizations worldwide that help to prove the innocence of those who are wrongfully accused. Amanda Knox was one of the 111 individuals who are put on a spotlight for the conference, King5 News said.

With the Amanda Knox's retrial conviction and the possibility of extradition, the convicted killer in the death of Meredith Kercher in 2007 admitted to being terrified about her future.

She said: "I'm very scared. It's so hard being a single person and having a greater authority pressing down upon you. But I'm feeling less alone here. I'm gaining inspiration and knowledge here and I hope to be able to carry that with me as I continue."

Ultimately, she said, the evidence will free her as she already intimated that she will appeal the Italian Supreme Court ruling to uphold her conviction. She was sentenced to 28 and ½ years in prison while her former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito was sentenced to 25 years.
