A-JAX Members Cast In Upcoming Web Series 'Vampire's Flower'

Four of the members of K-Pop boy band A-JAX have been cast in a new web series.

Online content is taking many forms these days and among the new trends is the increasing popularity of internet-based television series. As sites like Netflix and Hulu in the United States have started creating their own programs available to users of their services, South Koreans have begun to jump on the bandwagon creating a variety of web series.

The latest web drama to join the ranks is Vampire's Flower, a show that will follow the story of four young vampires as they juggle the love, life, and friendship.

For the lead actors, director Kim Sang Hoon and the production team have decided to cast members of the Korean idol group A-JAX.

"We thought A-JAX qualified to the play both the hot and cold vampires because they showed various sides of themselves in the past," explained Kim. "The appearance and passion of a mystical yet romantic atmosphere... the possibilities will shine even more through this drama, which raises expectations. You will be able to see a new side of A-JAX."

Vampire's Flower is based on a popular story that swept through the Korean blogosphere in early 2013 loosely linked to the Twilight craze in the US. The story first appeared as part of the Naver 'Challenge League' and quickly gained followers throughout South Korea.

The story centers around a vampire named Louie, who will be played by A-JAX member Jaehyung, and his relationship with a human high school student Seoyoung. Hyeongkon is set to take the role of Louie's frenemy Reka, while vampire guards Baek Han and Ah Kan will be portrayed by Seungyub and Hyojun respectively.

Vampire's Flower is expected to start airing in early summer with an expected release date of late May or early June.

A-JAX is a seven-member K-Pop boy band under DSP Media.  They debuted in 2012.
