Don Rickles, the iconic insult comic and sometime actor is getting an all-star tribute treatment from Spike TV. Jerry Seinfeld, Regis Philbin, Jimmy Kimmel and Bob Newhart will all hit the Apollo Theater in Harlem to sing the praises of the Merchant of Venom. The special will airing next month on Spike TV.

Don Rickles has made presidents and Beatles laugh. He inspired generations of standups comedians and comic actors with his own standup and also as an actor in classic comedy fare like "Get Smart," horror movies like "Innocent Blood," the Martin Scorsese gangster classic "Casino" and the classic World War II movie "Kelly's Heroes."

Robert De Niro, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Tracy Morgan, Regis Philbin, Ray Romano, Martin Scorsese, John Stamos, and Jon Stewart are also set to appear.

The 90-minute "One Night Only: An All-Star Comedy Tribute to Don Rickles" will be taped at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on May on May 6. The special will air May 28 (at 9 p.m.) on Spike TV.

"One Night Only: An All-Star Comedy Tribute to Don Rickles" will include stand-up performances; short films; pre-taped tributes and personal stories. The show ends with Don Rickles getting in the last word.

In making the announcement, Casey Patterson, Executive Producer and Executive Vice President, Event Production & Talent Development, Viacom Entertainment Group, which owns Spike, said "The genius of Rickles is in the danger, nobody is safe, and what you can expect is a night of comedy from these superstars worthy of a legend. It truly will be One Night Only."

Don Rickles, 87, was born in Queens, N.Y. He was discovered by Frank Sinatra while he was doing shows in Florida and became a peripheral part of The Rat Pack. Rickles was a frequent guest on Ed Sullivan's show, on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show and basically ruled the Roast, usually thrown by Dean Martin.
