The Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight is what fans want to see. Even a boxer who has fought both fighters would agree.

Juan Manuel Marquez was curiously dismissive of another match-up with Manny Pacquiao. Prior to the fight, there was nothing he wanted more.

From Boxing Scene, Marquez made this statement: "There is talk of a fifth fight, but I am not losing any sleep over it. I am preparing to fight against Alvarado and I don't care about any other fight,"

Marquez is now 40 years old, obviously at the twilight of his career. He knocked out Pacquiao convincingly, and it cemented his legacy as the clear winner of that match-up. He has also taken on Mayweather and he failed as well. He never sought any rematch with Money and now he wants no part of Pacquiao.

Instead, Marquez agrees with the fans on the fight they want to see. "I think the fight that the fans want is Manny and Floyd. That's what they want to see and they should do it. I have already had four fights with Pacquiao, and many people would prefer to see these two opponents face each other in the ring. I think if we voted on what fight people want to see, I sure they would want to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr."

Marquez's trainer, Nacho Beristain, also avoids Pacman like the plague: "I do not like the fight, it is not attractive, and Juan did what he had to do, he showed how the Mexicans get it done, he showed his followers around the world who he is and that's enough."

The fight that happened last December 2012 was hounded by various allegations on the use of PEDs-performance enhancing drugs. No accusation gained substance, though, since both fighters passed their post-fight drug tests.

Pacquiao and Mayweather have fought all of the welterweights worth fighting, except each other. It's been six years since this dream match has been requested.
