Andy To Join Shinhwa For China Fan Meeting On May 17

Shinhwa member Andy will be joining the group for their China fan meeting on May 17.

According to his agency, the 33-year-old singer will be meeting with fans in the Chinese port city of Ningbo.

Due to last year's illegal gambling incident, he had been away from the broadcasting world for quite awhile. This is his first time attending an event since the incident.

His agency made it clear that this does not mean he will be back as an active celebrity in the entertainment field.

Andy was reportedly caught making bets on an illegal mobile gambling site with four other Korean celebrities. Inside Korea reports that he was fined 5 million won ($4,800).

His agency stated today that there are no other schedules planned for him after this fan meeting. He will be attending this event due to the request from China's fan base.

Previously, he appeared at Shinhwa's last concert in March and officially apologized to the fans for his past behavior. The members were seen supporting him on stage along with the fans.

As fans await for the highly-anticipated appearance of Andy, there have been reports that Shinhwa's Eric may be returing to the small screen in an upcoming KBS 2TV drama.

The drama, titled "Trot Lovers," is about a talented woman in her twenties who meets a genius composer that will help her live her dream as a trot singer.

Although it hasn't been decided whether Eric will be starring in the romantic comedy, it has reportedly been confirmed that the singer has received a casting offer for the male lead role and is considering it.

Eric will be taking on the role of an artist from Korea's top agency who has been hardened by the idustry.

Eric's most recent role on the small screen was in "Spy Myung Wol" back in 2011.

We're excited to see Eric show off his acting skills once again.
