Nam Sang Mi and Lee Jun Ki Reunite After 8 Years in "The Joseon Shooter"

Actress Nam Sang Mi joined the cast for "The Joseon Shooter".

Nam Sang Mi was cast for the female lead Jung Soo In for KBS drama "The Joseon Shooter" to be aired after "Golden Cross".

Nam Sang Mi commented: "Jung Soo In is a curious and fearless character with a love for adventure despite her upbringing. She is not bound by the customs of Joseon but has a desire to venture to the new world; I was drawn to her strength. I'm glad to be acting alongside Lee Jun Ki once again after our drama "Time Between Dog and Wolf" eight years ago. We will both act our best to make alive the love of Yoon Gang and Soo In."

"The Joseon Shooter" is an action-filled romance drama that draws the story of Joseon's last swordsman who develops into the era's hero gunman. Director Kim Jung Min, well-known for his work in 2011 drama "The Princess' Man", will orchestrate the drama.

Staff stated: "The love story between gunman Lee Jun Ki and new-era woman Nam Sang Mi will inspire viewers and will provide them with a new action-filled romance".

Filming will begin this month, with the first episode projected to air in June.

Nam Sang Mi was discovered in 2001 while working in a fast food restaurant when someone posted her personal photos on the internet. He popularity from these photos on the internet rose, which led to her discovery as an actress. She made her debut in the 2003 MBC drama "Love Letter," and began her acting career by taking small roles in movies, TV dramas, and commercials. Her first leading role came in the 2005 drama, "Sweet Spy."

After starring in close friend Goo Hye Sun's short film, "You," Goo casted her as the leading lady of her second feature film, "the Peach Tree."
