'True Blood' Meets 'The Walking Dead' In Season 7 Trailer Amidst Fan Criticism: Anna Paquin Revived For 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' In Rogue Cameo!

As "True Blood" season 7 looms closer, the first trailer has some flavor of a post-Katrina New Orleans.

The 35-second preview of "True Blood" season 7 finds the resident of Bon Temps turning on each other amidst "sick vampires," religious fanatics, and perhaps the U.S. government.

Sadly, the "True Blood" season 7 trailer doesn't indicate any spoilers for Sookie, Eric, and Bill, so fans will have to wait until June 22 to discover the aftermath of last season.

Some observers have picked on what appears to be a Hurricane Katrina theme running in the trailer, where Bon Temps resident are attempting to get help from FEMA as everyone around them perishes.

This would certainly be an interesting and controversial topic for the HBO show to tackle, but it doesn't seem to be satiating jaded fans who believe the quality has gone downhill over the years.

"This show got dumb. But I'm gonna miss it," wrote Jess9191 on YouTube.

Others are also comparing it to "The Walking Dead" with its apocalyptic feel.

Meanwhile, it appears Anna Paquin will be seen in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" after all, despite earlier reports to the contrary.

"Essentially, it's a cameo," said a rep for 20th Century Fox.
